The friendly, divided into three 30-minute periods, was intended to be confidential. However, details of the scoreline emerged on social media. A young player from Luzern reportedly shared clips of the game on TikTok, revealing the lopsided result. The footage, which included appearances from Juventus forward Alisha Lehmann, a prominent figure in women's football with nearly 17 million Instagram followers, and Alayah Pilgrim, reportedly gained significant traction before being removed.

This isn't the first instance of the Swiss team testing themselves against youth opposition in preparation for the Euro. During their training camp, they previously lost 2-1 to FC Solothurn's U-15 side but secured a 2-1 victory against FC Biel's U-15s.

While the scoreline may raise eyebrows, the Swiss Football Association has sought to contextualize the result. Spokesperson Sven Micosse explained that such matches against junior teams are not uncommon in women's football.

“It’s not uncommon in women’s football to compete against junior teams. The goal is to bring a certain competitive element. The focus during this phase of preparation is on the physical aspect. Regardless of the result, these training matches are very similar to our international matches in terms of intensity and mileage.”

Switzerland, having automatically qualified for Euro 2025 as hosts, are scheduled to face Czechia in a formal friendly on Thursday. They will then commence their Euro 2025 campaign against Norway on July 2.
