Suryakumar Yadav Successfully Undergoes Sports Hernia Surgery
India's T20I captain, Suryakumar Yadav, has successfully undergone surgery to repair a sports hernia. The procedure took place in Munich, Germany, and the 34-year-old cricketer is now focused on recovery.
Suryakumar Yadav shared a photo on Instagram, updating fans on his recovery.
Yadav, whose last appearance for India was in the T20I series against England in February, shared an update on social media, expressing optimism and eagerness to return to the cricket field.
In his social media post, Suryakumar Yadav confirmed the surgery, stating: "Underwent surgery for a sports hernia in the lower right abdomen. Grateful to share that after a smooth surgery, I'm already on the road to recovery. Can't wait to be back."
The surgery follows Suryakumar Yadav's remarkable performance in the recent Indian Premier League (IPL). He showcased his batting prowess for the Mumbai Indians, amassing an impressive 717 runs in 16 innings. This performance made him the second-highest run-scorer in the tournament. His last international match was in the five-match T20I series against England earlier this year. The timing of the surgery overlaps with India's ongoing five-match Test series against England.
