Vivek Agnihotri recalls Virat Kohli coming to meet Anushka Sharma at her apartment in Mumbai before marriage: ' Children in our street used to go crazy'

Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri, who is currently in the headlines for his film, 'The Bengal Files,' recently opened up about how Virat Kohli used to come to meet Anushka Sharma at her residence before their marriage.The actress used to live in a Mumbai apartment with her parents before she got married to Virat, and during that time, even the filmmaker was residing in the same building. Reportedly, the director and Anushka's father became friends during their stay.On The Raunac Podcast, the filmmaker shared that he really admires cricketer Virat Kohli. He expressed that he loves him as a cricketer. When the host questioned the filmmaker if he ever met the player, Agnihotri shared an interesting anecdote.Recalling the time when he was neighbors with the actress, Vivek said, "We lived in the same society; we moved out, and they must have too… But her father is still a great friend of mine."The 'Hate Story' director added that quite before the couple got married, "Virat would often come to her house to meet her. Children in our street used to go crazy. They would run behind his car in fondness. That is the only memory I have of him."Agnihotri expressed that he has never met the cricketer in person. The filmmaker also added that he is not much into cricket, saying, "I never find time between my work. I have been busy."The couple welcomed their first child, Vamika Kohli, in 2021. Three years later, in 2024, the duo was blessed with a baby boy, and they lovingly named him Akaay Kohli.
