The latest ICC Test rankings showcase significant movements following a week of compelling performances in both Test and T20I cricket. Rishabh Pant has surged to seventh place in the ICC Test batting rankings following his exceptional twin centuries at Headingley. The dynamic wicketkeeper-batsman scored 134 and 118, becoming only the second wicketkeeper in Test history, after Zimbabwe’s Andy Flower in 2001, to achieve centuries in both innings of a Test match. Pant is also the first Indian wicket-keeper batter to achieve 800 rating points in Test history.
Joe Root remains the top-ranked Test batter globally, while his teammate Harry Brook holds the second position. India’s Shubman Gill has climbed five places to 20th after his impressive century in the first innings.

In the T20I rankings, significant changes were observed following the tri-series in Glasgow, which included the Netherlands, Nepal, and Scotland. Dutch batter Michael Levitt has ascended 16 places to 14th, driven by his consistent performances. Scotland’s Brandon McMullen has also made a notable impact, climbing 20 spots to reach a joint 38th position.
