Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film is an epic historical action drama that explores the life of the Maratha ruler and his bravery in defending his faith and country. It featured a strong cast including Akshaye Khanna, Rashmika Mandanna, Diana Penty, Vineet Kumar Singh and Ashutosh Rana. The period drama was released in cinemas on February 14 this year.

The film went on to perform strongly at the box office. As per Sacnilk, 'Chhaava' collected overRs 600 crore net in India, becoming one of the biggest hits of the year.
